What are of influence do you think your candidate should be considered for the Rock Motorsports Hall of Fame?

Contribution Area

Within their catagory, select where you believe they have contributed to Rock Motorsports.

The nomination letter can be a short or longer reference as to why you think your candidate should be In the Rock Motorsports Hall Of Fame. (1000 words is maximum)


Not required but extremely helpful to the Nominations Board in considering your candidate. You can provide up to 3 letters of reference. These can be short or up to 1000 words max. Not Required


Nomination Area

The Rock Motorsports Hall of Fame is the Hall of Fame.


The Living Legends of Rock Motorsports is a seperate induction process that recognizes individuals who have made a significant impact to the Rock Motorsports world. This group is limited to 50 individuals who remain in the catagory for life. Space is opened (once 50 are selected) by the passing of a member or by an extension of the total number (currently 50) by the Board.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION AND INDUCTION

 

  • Nomination Categories 

    • influencer

    • Competition

    • Advocacy

    • Industry

    • Journalism

  • Nomination Criteria

    • An individual with at least 15 years of active involvement in the category to which they are being nominated.

    • The nominee must have made a significant contribution to the rock based off-road world.  This includes contribution in any of the following.

      •  Business development

      •  Design and engineering. 

      • Philanthropy

      • Event promotion

      • Inspiration withing the Rock Motorsports Community

      • Advocacy and activism

      • Positive representation

  • Nomination and Voting Process

    • Nomination Process

      • Submitting nominations:

        • Nominations are accepted on the approved online form only.

        • Nominations must be concise and not exceed the number of pages allotted.

        • Nominations are accepted from:

Individuals

Associations 

Groups

Sanctioning bodies

Event promoters

Members of industry

Members of the media

  • Nominations are NOT accepted from:

Members of the voting committee

Associations, companies, clubs, groups, sanctioning bodies, event promotors who employs, with or without pay, a member of the voting committee.Also from organizations of all forms whereby the voting committee member is also a board member or significant influencer of the organization.

 

 

  • Acquiring nomination forms:

    • Forms will be available March 15  on the Rock Motorsports Hall of Fame website: rockmotorsportshof.org

  • Voting Process

    • Voting committee duties:

      • Meet  Biannually (2x/yr) to discuss/vote on nominees.

      • Members individually review nomination packets and vote on final selection.

      •  Committee chair shall forward a list of proposed inductees to the RMSHOF Board of Directors for approval.

    • Voting committee structure:

      • Will include up to twenty 11 members

        • The President of the Board Of Directors shall form a Nominations Voting board

    • Induction Process

      • Voting committee will meet in person or via video conference to review nominations. 

      • Ballots are anonymous.

      • Ballots are pre-printed.

      • Ballots are retained.

      •  Induction ceremony to be held annually.

      • Maximum induction class size of five (5) unless otherwise approved by the RMSHOF Nominations Board and approved by Executive Board

        • Minimum induction class size of three (3)
